Vinay Bhatia- Professor & Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Chandigarh Engineering College (NBA Accredited), CGC Landran (NAAC A+), Punjab, INDIA. B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has authored about 150+ research papers in various national/international conferences/journals. He is a recipient of various awards such as INDO-SL International award in the category of Best Head of Department, Academic Leader I2OR International Award 2020-21 etc. Currently, he is working on routing and security issues pertaining to wireless networks. He is instrumental in the development of two Centers of Excellence in the ECE department at CGC, Landran, in the fields of Drone technology and wireless communication antennas. He has received a grant of Rs 15 lac from AICTE under MODROB scheme, IDEA Lab AICTE (1.1 Crores), and a travel grant from SERB, DST. He has been editor of various journals of international repute. His main research interests include mobile and ad hoc wireless networks, wireless mesh networks and wireless security. He has authored around 90 research papers in various national and international journals and conferences. He is the recipient of several prestigious recognitions, including the INDO-SL International Award in the category of Best Head of Department and the Academic Leader I2OR International Award 2020–21. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and serves as the RAS (Robotics and Automation Society) Faculty Advisor.
Sukhdeep Kaur, Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran, Mohali, Punjab has received her B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Amravati University(M.S), M.Tech degree in Electronics and communication from G.N.E Ludhiana; and Ph.D. degree in Antenna Designing from Thapar University Patiala; in 2001, 2008 and 2016 respectively. She has more than 23 years of work experience at various environments includes Industries, educational and research centers. She has completed three IEDC (DST) funded project and more than 20 patent (4 Granted) in her credit. She has published more than 50 technical research papers in SCI/ESCI/Scopus and peer reviewed International and national Journals, and few in Conferences and Seminars. She has established Antenna and Radiating System Lab in Chandigarh Engineering College, Landran, Mohali and also received a grant of Rs.15 Lakh under MODROB (AICTE) in 2019-20. She has also received a grant of Rs. 93000 from ISTE_AICTE for organizing Induction/Refresher program and Rs 3 Lacs under Grant of Conference (GOC) from AICTE She has also mentored international level project “CANSAT Competition-2016”. The event was organized by American Astronautical Society, American Institute of Aeronautics, NASA/Goddard Space Flight Centre, NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory & Naval Research Laboratory, held between10th-12thJune2016 at Burkett, Texas, USA. Her current research interests include Antenna Designing and Wireless Communication and their applications in bio medical applications and communication Systems.
Ashima Kalra is a distinguished academician and researcher currently serving as Associate Professor in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Chandigarh Engineering College (CGC Landran), with more than 22 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She earned her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Maharishi University, Noida, in 2023. She completed her M.Tech with distinction from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, and is a Gold Medalist in B.Tech in Electronics from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Dr. Kalra has published more than 50 research papers in reputed journals, including 6 SCI and over 24 Scopus-indexed publications. She has also contributed 10+ book chapters and authored six textbooks in areas such as microprocessors, ethical hacking, and machine learning. Her research interests include artificial intelligence, neural networks, fuzzy systems, and machine learning. She has filed more than 20 patents in innovative domains including AI-powered robots and chronic kidney disease detection. She received an AICTE grant of ₹3.5 lakhs as Coordinator for the ATAL Faculty Development Program. She is a Senior Member of IEEE, Branch Counsellor of the IEEE Student Branch at CEC, and WIE (Women in Engineering) Faculty Advisor. She has actively contributed as a session chair and reviewer for various international conferences and has organized numerous faculty development programs. She is also recognized for mentoring M.Tech theses in advanced domains such as image processing and cryptography. Her achievements include multiple Academic Excellence Awards and the Women Leadership Award, recognizing her dedication to teaching, research, and academic leadership.
Bhawna Tandon received a B.Tech degree from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in 2001, M.E degree from Panjab University in 2009, and a Ph.D. degree from Punjab Engineering College (PEC) (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh in 2018. With a total teaching experience of 24 years and a strong academic and research background, she has published more than 40 research papers and Book chapters in reputed national and international journals. She has two patents granted to her credit, reflecting her dedication to research, innovation, and advancing knowledge in the field of engineering and education. She is currently working as Professor and serving as the IQAC Coordinator at Chandigarh Engineering College - CGC Landran, Mohali where she actively contributes to institutional quality enhancement and academic excellence. Dr. Tandon has also been a recipient of prestigious government research grants, including the Rs 3.5 Lacs under ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) scheme and Rs 3 Lacs under Grant of Conference (GOC) from AICTE, reflecting her dedication to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of engineering and education.
