Recenzii

Vidal and Casey have done it again with another well thought out and logical approach to technology planning. The process described in this book was used to guide and shape our Technology Vision which has been shared, and understood, by a large cross section of our stakeholders both inside and outside the District. The focused approach on starting with the Strategic Plan as the umbrella under which everything else must support has been vital. Because of this approach there was no real debate about whether technology is important since it all supports the Board's Strategic Plan. A must read for anyone involved in technology planning.
Darryl Vidal and Michael Casey provide a guide to preparing a far reaching Vision for technology which will allow Districts to implement the goals established in their Local Control Accountability Plans.
If you are looking for a succinct guide to help you and your K12 clients understand how to successfully implement technology in the district this is it. "A Vision for Education Technology" helps us understand that the basic premise of technology is curriculum based and centered on one teacher for one student, NOT one computer for one student. From that point, this straight-forward book details how to successfully develop an Education Technology Vision as a complement to the district's Curriculum Vision. A necessity for successful technology consulting.
