Fifteen-year-old Jack Allen is like other teenagers, going to school, hanging out with his friends, listening to music, and playing video games. His daily life is focused on trying to fit in. But Spaw, an ambitious and high-ranking demon, has other plans. Posing as a beautiful spirit named Rachel, Spaw uses Jack's desire for acceptance to try to lure him to his destruction.
As Jack experiences worldly temptations-including violence, sex, drugs, and theft-he receives demonic encouragement to let go. Doing so, he's told, will help him fit in and progress spiritually to the point where he can rejoin Rachel, who awaits him in the real spiritual world.
