The odyssey continues for Midshipman Wesley Edwards and the crew of the intrepid Star Seeker After their battle with the Toyo Alzo Slave Cartel, the Seeker once again turns toward the frontier and high adventure. This time, things are a bit different aboard the small scout ship. They have a new crew member: Arnog Thirdson Brachensclaw. Arnog is an eight foot tall ursoid and the son of an important Duke in the Osmani Empire. Newly created an Ambassador by the Duke of Langlais, he is to represent his people to the humans and aslan of the confederacy. Yet Arnog is not the simple sophont from a back water world that he appears to be. He will become the key figure in forming an Intergalactic Alliance between the Osmani Empire and the confederacy. Not everyone is happy about the proposed alliance. There are those who would kill to prevent it from happening - and they already have. Now the dangers facing the Seekers are more than just the hazards of space and alien worlds. They have collected a new set of enemies, ones that work against them behind the scenes.
