Virginia Woolf (Author)
Virginia Woolf (1882-1941) was born in London. She became a central figure in The Bloomsbury Group, an informal collective of British writers, artists and thinkers. In 1912 Virginia married Leonard Woolf, a writer and social reformer. She wrote many works of literature which are now considered masterpieces, including Mrs Dalloway, To the Lighthouse, Orlando, and The Waves.

If you have always wanted to read Woolf but feel intimidated, Orlando is a good place to start. And you can't go wrong with this new Oxford edition.
This is a classic of world literature, and folks must at least attempt to read it to learn what is wrong or right with it. Thus, I recommend this novel for the purchase by all public and academic libraries, and private buyers.
