He is Editor-in-Chief of the international journal NEW WRITING, Professor of Creative Writing and Director of the National Institute for Excellence in the Creative Industries at Bangor University (UK). Chair of the International Centre for Creative Writing Research, his works include: SWALLOWING FILM: SHORT FILM FICTION; BLACK CAT, GREEN FIELD; TEACHING CREATIVE WRITING; SIGNS OF LIFE: CINEMA AND MEDICINE, with A.
