Notă biografică

John Milton (1608-1674) was an English poet, polemicist, and civil servant, widely regarded as one of the most important writers in the English language. Educated at Cambridge and deeply engaged with the political and religious controversies of his time, Milton produced works that combine literary ambition with theological and philosophical inquiry.Paradise Lost, first published in 1667, is his most celebrated work and is considered one of the greatest epic poems in English literature. Paradise Regained, published in 1671, complements it as a more focused treatment of redemption. Together, they represent the culmination of Milton's poetic vision and continue to influence literature, theology, and cultural thought.
