Față de primele volume, precum Stalking the Angel, unde umorul lui Cole domina scena, aici tonul este sobru, aproape clinic. A Dangerous Man nu oferă momente de respiro. Fiecare dialog este o negociere. Fiecare stradă din L.A. ascunde o amenințare. Este o explorare brutală a ceea ce înseamnă să fii un om periculos într-o lume care nu iartă greșelile.
