This book is the life story of Zheng fu Ge, a Chinese woman born in Imperial China. She grew up during the tremendous upheaval of the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Cultural Revolution, to name just two of the events that comprise the backdrop to her life. This is her personal story of family and coming of age, told in her words. This bilingual book is in both English and Shanghai dialect.
