Notă biografică
B.K.S. Iyengar wurde 1918 in Indien geboren und lebte bis 2014. Er verfügte über eine mehr als 70jährige Yogapraxis und Lehrerfahrung. Seit 1954 unternahm er regelmäßige Reisen (zunächst nach Europa, später weltweit). Ab 1975 hatte er ein eigenes Yogainstitut in Pune/Indien. Heute gibt es zahlreiche Iyengar-Yoga-Institute und -Zentren in 40 Ländern weltweit.
