Perfect for fans of The Last Bookstore on Earth and They Bloom at Night!
June Campbell knows exactly how her life will end. A parasitic fungus known as the Viridian will spread through her respiratory system, slowly seizing control of her mind and body. But every day until it fully claims her, it’ll make her a little bit stronger, faster, sharper. She’s already the best supply runner in Nome, Alaska—at least after her sister, who is now struggling with the late-stage effects of Viridian exposure.
But when June discovers that the scientists of Nome are planning to outfit her sister for one last—almost certainly deadly—mission, she has no other choice but to plunge into the wild Alaskan tundra to take on the quest herself. Two thousand frozen miles stretch between her and a serum that just might unlock a cure for Viridian. Fighting to survive a terrain littered with dangers, both environmental and human, June must join forces with a boy harboring secrets of his own. As they grow unexpectedly closer, the question remains: Will either of them finish this fateful run alive?

Notă biografică
Lindsey Anderson Rios is an Ohio-born, Wisconsin-based journalist and author who holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from Colby College and has received several Excellence in Journalism awards from her state press club. She lives with her husband and dog in a century-old home in Milwaukee that they’re slowly fixing up together. When she’s not writing or reading, she can often be found puttering around the house, wrestling with wallpaper, or swapping out switch plates. Winter at World’s End is her first novel.
