Jill Scoville works in the Jersey City office of Inverse Risk Management, a United States government contractor specializing in anti-terrorism data collection. But because of severe budget cuts by the Federal government, IRM may be on the verge of bankruptcy.Jill Scoville comes to the rescue. Against her ethical standards she agrees to accept a government request to remotely install a spyware program named "Wizard" onto the computers of 25,000 American citizens who have not committed any crimes but may appear suspicious. The United States government can't do this without proper warrants so they rely on contractors like Inverse Risk Management to do the hacking and then turn a blind eye to how the illicit information was obtained.Jill soon discovers that this is not work for the government but rather the illegal activity of her employer who will be using this pilfered data for illegal profit, ransom and election fraud. Jill is challenged to find a solution but the company holds all the cards. And now a United States Senator who is running for president is making threats of prison if Jill does not cooperate. Along the way there is murder, intrigue, and Jill and her family are threatened and blackmailed. In the end Jill finds a clever way to outsmart them. Or does she?
