I was so prepared NOT to like this book. So absolutely prepared mentally to hate it. What was the point of this book really? To change the ending of the saddest book in the Black Dagger universe? Yes, I am talking about The Shadows. What could possibly happen in this book to make me reconsider that The Shadows should have a different ending? Well, the answer is simple. The book proved to me a definite fact for myself. I just LOVE happy endings. I don't care how they are delivered. I don't even care if they are delivered almost 5 years late. In romance books the happy endings are the norm!!! You NEED to read about The Happily Ever After. You need to believe the fairy-tale and have only happy tears in the end. Otherwise what's the point? Where is the ESCAPISM that the romance stories have the obligation to provide? Thank you Mrs Ward and thank you insanely/ lunatic/ pink-and-animal-print-lover/ “I’m a sucker for true love” Lassiter!
