'Vera; or, The Nihilists' was Oscar Wilde's first play, and is one of his most interesting. It concerns a Russian barmaid who joins a terrorist group called 'The Nihilists' whose aim is the murder of the Russian tsar, eventually becoming their top assassin, before she is forced to make an extremely difficult choice.
