Solaiman is careful not to delve directly into war scenes or destruction, but the specter of such is discernible in Kassim's tortured mind. Kassim represents the dire consequences that a good man, even as an innocent by-stander, may experience after such a life. It is all set off by the emotional trigger that is the loss of his wife and children...
