Uncle Wiggily in the Woods
Autor Howard R. Garisen Limba Engleză Paperback – 29 feb 2008
"Indeed I would," answers the double-jointed tail 'gator, who can wobble his flippers both ways. "And I know of no nicer rabbit than Uncle Wiggily Longears "
As it so happens, Uncle Wiggily has just planned his vacation. He and Nurse Jane Fuzzy-Wuzzy will leave the countryside and take a nice little bungalow in the woods.
And the woods is where these two skillery-scalery alligators live -- who are not exactly friends of the bunny uncle But the cheerful rabbit gentleman knows plenty of friendlier creatures, too -- whom readers young and old will delight in meeting, in "Uncle Wiggily in the Woods."

Notă biografică
Howard Roger Garis (1873 - 1962) was an American author, best known for a series of books, most books he published under his own name but in Baseball Joe he published under Lester Chadwick, that featured the character of Uncle Wiggily Longears, an engaging elderly rabbit. Garis and his wife were possibly the most prolific children's authors of the early 20th century. Many of his books were illustrated by Lansing Campbell. Garis was born in Binghamton, New York. He and his spouse Lilian Garis both worked as reporters for the Newark Evening News. He did some work on the side for WNJR also in Newark.
