Two Lifetimes: Scotia Road Books

Autor Lynne Golodner
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 20 oct 2026

Two friends. Two lifetimes. One unfinished promise.

On the first night of Hanukkah, a brick crashes through the window of Adara Cohen's home, breaking a sacred, defiant night of celebration. Inside, three of her children are badly injured. Outside, a small Midwestern community is forced to confront the repercussions of an act of hatred that echoes a bloodstained past.

For Adara's closest friend, Lily Sullivan, the attack awakens more than anger.

A devoted Catholic, Lily begins to experience vivid dreams that feel like impossible memories: fragments of Nazi-occupied Poland, a Jewish boy moving through danger, and a Catholic priest making a promise that will be felt far into the future.

As Lily throws herself into stamping out hatred in her hometown, she becomes increasingly convinced her life-or her soul-is bound to Adara's.

But some histories do not stay buried. They repeat. They reshape the future. Because some souls are destined to break the patterns of the past-if not in one lifetime, then in the next...

A sweeping, emotional novel set across dual timelines in modern-day Michigan and the Holocaust in 1940's Poland, Two Lifetimes is testament to the enduring power of human connection, a celebration of interfaith friendship, and a poignant reminder to learn from history's mistakes.

Notă biografică

Lynne Golodner has been writing since she was 6 years old and never wants to stop. But it took decades for her to really call herself an author, despite writing and publishing 8 books between 1996 and 2013-two poetry collections and six nonfiction books published by small traditional presses. Throughout her career, Lynne has written as a journalist for magazines and newspapers in New York, Washington DC and Detroit, she has taught writing at universities and in communities after earning an MFA in creative writing, and since 2007 she has put her writing skills to work in marketing and public relations channels through her company Your People LLC. And while she always wanted to be a full-time book author, Lynne did not make this her reality until midlife, when she woke up one day and realized it was time to take the leap and make author her main identity. Lynne now spends her days writing award-winning novels about strong women finding love, and her stories include suspense, a taste of magical realism and Jewish identity. She's writing at the pace of a book a year, publishing as a confident indie author through her own imprint, Scotia Road Books, and speaking to book clubs and reader audiences around the world about the power of story to heal us all. When she's not writing, Lynne is likely on the phone with one of her four young adult kids, walking in the forest with her husband, playing tennis, swimming, leading a writers retreat in some cool locale, or talking to the plants in her garden. Lynne has been published under three surnames (a decision she regrets, but what can you do?), so look for her writing under Lynne Cohn, Lynne Schreiber, or Lynne Golodner.
