I can see Total Teaching being on the list of must-reads for many school districts' incoming staff members.
The material and topic could not be more timely or appropriate. Today's teachers and academic leaders, I believe, will find this book, Total Teaching, a valuable and practical resource. As an academic leader, I am always looking for valuable resources that I can direct the instructional staff to use in order to help assist them achieve their teaching and professional development goals. I plan on recommending this book to my colleagues and other academic leadership as an enjoyble must-read.
Many books published in the teaching field deal with pedagogy, classroom management, or the beginning teacher. Although many are quite helpful, it is rare to find a book that is written for the veteran teacher who could use a boost in morale and offer tips that will keep her/him going. Dr. Staszewski's book, Total Teaching, does just that. Filled with insightful examples and stories, Total Teaching weaves hints with a pep talk, keeping those who were meant for this professional in the profession.
