The very name of this captivating collection of poetry hints at the mythological story of Orpheus and Eurydice. Like Orpheus's temptation to look upon his beloved, losing her forever, these poems reflect upon the theme of new love and its sudden loss. Divided into three parts, each represents a moment in time, from the halcyon days of first love to its reflection through the lens of time. And finally ending in the classical and fantastical themes of love, from the epic tale of Cleopatra, to horrific tragedy of Persephone.
Using both alliteration and meter, Kenneth creates a unique and timeless portrayal of the longings and endurance of the human heart as well as the beauty found in the solitude of nature. Using ink and pen alone, he weaves with wordplay the timeless portrait of the poet's Muse upon the pages of his debut collection of love poetry. It is a poetic journey not soon to be forgotten. It will be sure to touch the imagination and its lines to be pondered by the heart of those who dare to gaze upon the last and lasting images of true love.
