Large print edition, fully annotated (1 500 footnotes), easy-to-read layout. G.R.S. Mead was a noted and influential member of the Theosophical Society. He studied the Hermetic and Gnostic religions of Late Antiquity. Mead's huge book-Thrice-Greatest Hermes-is a classic work on the philosophical Hermetica and the figure of Hermes Trismegistus. This first volume (Prolegomena-640 pp.) gives an extensive study of the Hermetic corpus and the origins of Hermeticism. Carefully prepared as a fully annotated large print edition, the text includes approximately 1,500 scholarly footnotes, extensive source quotations, and a clear, readable layout designed for sustained study and reference. An essential resource for readers interested in ancient wisdom traditions, esoteric theology, and the origins of Hermetic spirituality, this volume stands as a cornerstone of modern Hermetic scholarship.
