Renée Mancini is a nurse, a mother, and grandmother who loves to write stories of city children visiting the country or farmland. Although Renée grew up a city girl in New Orleans, she frequently visited family who farmed and took their crops to market. She was fascinated that just a short two-hour drive from her home, her family produced their food supply, while her city life consisted of purchasing the same food, such as chicken, eggs, milk, steak, and vegetables, from the grocery.
