Notă biografică
Gerald G. Carley became interested in the history of the Kent Family of Fluker, Louisiana, while listening to stories told by his father-in-law, Richard A. Kent, Jr., about growing up on what was essentially a post-civil war plantation built by his father, Richard A. Kent, Sr., during the early 1900?s. After awhile, he began recording some of the stories Mr. Kent told and began a study of the genealogy of the family. This book represents a culmination of that effort. A graduate of Auburn University and Louisiana State University, Mr. Carley is a retired airline pilot, living in Daphne, Alabama.
