The Yooper ABCs: Sea Star Books

Dana D. Saugstad, a former librarian and now manager of a conservation district, is back with another children's book showcasing the culture and life of Michigan's Upper Peninsula: The Yooper ABCs, a follow-up to her debut, The Twelve Days of Yooper Christmas. Originally from Scottville, Michigan, Dana discovered her love of children's books while living in Alaska, where a children's literature course first inspired her to write. She drafted much of The Yooper ABCs during a summer working in the field with a UP invasive species coalition, and finished it at her beloved Dickinson County Library. Dana now lives in Quinnesec, in the heart of the UP, where she enjoys family time, nature walks, and audiobooks.
