Notă biografică

Daniela Schreiter was born in Berlin and started early to research the world around her by using pen and paper. She started drawing at the age of four and has been working since on her skills as illustrator and comic book artist. Daniela is an autistic woman. Since her diagnosis she felt the wish to make a comicbook about how life is with this slightly different view on and perception of the world. Words alone for her have never been enough to capture this right. In 2014 her first graphic novel ¿Schattenspringer¿ was released in Germany by Panini Comics. What you just hold in your hands is the English adaption of the book, where she tells her story about her childhood and teenage years as ¿the weird child¿. It became a bestselling graphic novel, followed by more books in Germany. All have in common the wonderful artwork, great storytelling and fine sense of humor, when she shows what hurdles she had to master, of which non-autistic people don`t even suspect that they all belong.
