Dr. Stan Williams is a writer, filmmaker, and story structure expert who has worked with Will Smith on over a dozen projects. Will calls Stan's book on story structure, The Moral Premise: Harnessing Virtue and Vice for Box Office Success, "the most powerful tool in my new toolbox." Based in Michigan with occasional forays to Los Angeles and Europe, Stan has worked on screenplays that have grossed over a billion dollars at the box office. He's written nine books, including four novels, and has edited a dozen others. The Wizard Clip story came to him from an ex-pat Filipino and emigrant to Australia who thought the Wizard Clip would make a good movie. Stan agreed, but figured he'd better write the book first. His only hope lies in an unlikely alliance with Father Denis Cahill, a rogue Irish Catholic priest whose own demons have followed him across the Atlantic. Based on the infamous true events known as The Wizard Clip hauntings, this tale of supernatural horror chronicles the real-life terror that descended upon the isolated community of Smithfield, Virginia. The haunting was so severe that Bishop John Carroll himself dispatched Rev. Demetrius Augustine Gallitzin-who would later become known as the Apostle of the Alleghenies-to investigate. After three months of witnessing inexplicable phenomena, Gallitzin wrote: "No lawyer in a court of justice did more than I, nor procured more than your unworthy servant." Two centuries later, the village-now known as Clip Town and Middleway, West Virginia-still bears the scars of its haunted history.
