The Watchman

Part One opens in 1948 with Gerald Mitchell, a good family man, contemplating murder even as a mysterious watchman strives to deter him. Gerald's actions that night propel him and his family, unwittingly, into a titanic battle between good and evil forces, embodied by two haunting spirits.

This battle shifts in Part Two to younger generations as the turn of the new millennium approaches. Romantic drama intertwines with the sweep of business and worldly affairs, as fortunes and lives are made and lost. This seesaw pattern between triumph, tragedy, and redemption extends far into the future as is told later in Parts Three and Four.
