Heather Anne Bloom was born in India and raised in England before settling in Australia. She worked in the areas of marriage and family counselling as well as teaching English as a second language to business people and refugees during her time in an ex-patriot community in Germany. Now widowed, she is the mother of two adult children, Laurence and Lorraine.
