Notă biografică

CATRIONA WARD was born in Washington, DC, grew up internationally, and read English at Oxford. She is a multi-award-winning, USA Today and Sunday Times bestselling author. Her breakthrough novel, The Last House on Needless Street, was a Sunday Times bestseller translated into 32 languages. Hailed by Stephen King as "a true nerve-shredder," it won the August Derleth Prize at the British Fantasy Awards and was named one of the best horror novels of all time by Esquire. It is currently being adapted for film by Andy Serkis's production company, The Imaginarium.

Ward's other acclaimed novels include Sundial, which won the 2023 International Thriller Writers Award and earned high praise from Stephen King ("Authentically terrifying"); Looking Glass Sound, named a Best Book of 2023 by Esquire, The Guardian, and New York Magazine; and Nowhere Burning, a USA Today bestseller. Her earlier works, Little Eve and Rawblood, both earned British Fantasy Awards. Little Eve also won the Shirley Jackson Award, while Rawblood took the August Derleth Award and is in television development with Fremantle Media. Ward is the only woman to have won the August Derleth Award three times. Her short fiction appears in numerous anthologies, including Stephen King's The Stand expansion anthology. Ward currently lives in London and Devon.
