Lord Murkar and his new sidekick Shorty are on a roll using two techniques to gain control of the universe. One is an awesome religion with two things other religions lack; present-day miracles, and immediate retribution for sinners. And the other is a horrible 'mini-black hole' weapon that can as serve as the sepulchral part of their religious order and also wipe out the three Shard Bearers and anyone else who opposes them. Using the inter-world 'Silver Expressway' travel gate and hit and run tactics, Alexis, Dusty and Brandi must avoid annihilation, save their friends from slow painful deaths, and attack the very heart of their enemies emerging faith.
