The SENCO as Leader

Autor Gary Aubin
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 13 feb 2027
There are many gaps within education. The disadvantage gap, the attendance gap, the '30-million-word gap'. There is also a stubborn gap between the findings of research evidence and the practice in classrooms. This practical resource for SEND leaders empowers them to ensure that SEND provision is shaped by secure evidence, developed through good practice and grounded in an understanding of the challenges of everyday teaching. Structured around the NPQ SENCO key statements on SEND leadership, this book provides:*Reliable, research-based insights grounded in legislation and guidance. *Understanding of the origins of each NPQ SENCO 'Learn that' statement and its implications for the SENCO role. *Clear summaries of key studies, showing how research translates into practical strategies for settings. *Detailed examples that bring real-world application to the framework. For experienced SENCOs and new SENCOs completing their NPQ.
