** PRAISE FOR LINDEN A. LEWIS ***
Wonderfully imaginative and gripping . . . I couldn't put it down
A lot of fun, as stylish as it is substantial
An immersive, richly textured world with complex social dynamics and solid LGBTQ and multicultural representation
A ferocious mix of energetic plotting and vivid characters. Ridiculously readable
An enjoyable queer space opera romp with a dark underbelly
A layered, action-filled plot and diverse characters create a powerful entry into the space opera genre
Diverse characters and compelling interconnected storylines kept me reading late into the night-Lewis's debut is the start of an exciting new series and a must-read for sci-fi fans
Packed with incident and can be read for the thrills alone
A skilfully plotted and thoughtfully developed book
Conflicts over advanced technology, religious beliefs, and economic deprivation swirl throughout this thrilling LGBTQ space opera centred on love, loss, and betrayal . . . The revolution is just getting started
This debut showcases themes of colonization, technology, genetic manipulation, and corruption that leaves its mark. A layered, action-filled plot and diverse characters create a powerful entry in the space opera genre
Replete with espionage, high-speed chases, and fight scenes, Lewis's sophomore effort demonstrates a knack for building tension, while also adding layers of worldbuilding complexity to deliver some genuine surprises
A sprawl, queer space opera that balances high-energy, visually slick action scenes against complex political intrigues and nuanced character relationships
A surprising revelation and closing twist set the stage for the finale to the First Sister trilogy
