Lark must help three banished witches from The Floating World. Their only chance to return is to get hold of The Purple Rose and create an elixir of youth. So they send Lark off to find the rose. A task that is not entirely safe and straightforward, as Lark is accused of the murder of a fair maiden. In addition, a perilous journey awaits, where she meets the underdwellers, must defeat a mysterious nymph, and much more.
