Anna Palmer could not have imagined her life would be turned upside down when she arose to face yet another grueling day of shift work on her Surgery Unit. Anna, a tired, burnt out Nurse meets her match in lady-loving, self-worshipping Tony who can't tolerate minor surgery and perceives Anna as a bossy know-it-all, standing up and embarrassing him in front of the Doctor and especially his buddies. This throws Tony on a slow slide into obsession and retaliation to redeem his machismo. He stalks and attacks Anna over and again to reclaim himself, only to fall further into failure and madness.
