Zane Grey was an American author best known for his adventure novels and pulp fiction that glamorized the Old West. Buck Duane kills a man in self-defense and then begins living the life of an outlaw. In a Mexican camp he tries to rescue a young girl, which angers her captors. He then must lead a life of solitude, while Buck is pursued by outlaws and lawful men. After a ranger helps Buck receive a pardon he becomes a ranger himself. The Lone Star Ranger is a classic action filled western.
