The third book of THE DOORWAY TRILOGY. Brainy, Thumper, and Wendy fall through the floor into an underground town. The town is run by a country sheriff. He tells them that his uncle is a wizard. The kids decide to seek out the wizard so that he could send them home. During their journey they meet a bird man who commands thousands of birds, giant stone men, and a mysterious clown.
