A covert mission. A global threat. A crew you don't see coming. When a group of lifelong friends reunites in San Francisco for cocktails and conversation, their talk turns to the growing crisis of Somali piracy. Outraged and armed with decades of real-world experience, each man brings a "unique set of skills" to the table-skills that could actually make a difference. All they need is funding. When one friend secures the backing, the plan becomes real. What begins as a bold idea quickly turns into a covert international mission. The crew must travel the globe, operate under the radar, negotiate with dangerous players, and stay one step ahead of authorities who would shut them down. Success requires strategy, improvisation, and a willingness to bend every rule in the book.Part action-adventure, part crime-fiction thriller, THE CREW follows a team of aging but highly capable friends as they take on modern-day piracy with ingenuity, grit, and a surprising amount of humor. Whether mildly factual or pure fiction-take your pick-it's a fast-paced, globe-trotting story that keeps you turning pages.

Notă biografică

Born and raised in the vibrant heart of San Francisco, Brian Brady found endless inspiration in the City, celebrated for its stunning architecture, dynamic sports teams, rich traditions and colorful characters. His law enforcement career journey began as a Police Officer and culminated as Police Chief. He worked with four different departments in two states. He later transitioned to Corporate Security and consulting positions. This path led him through diverse landscapes, from Berkeley's eclectic streets to the scenic vistas of Farmington, New Mexico, and eventually back to the Bay Area. He then moved into the private sector, holding Executive positions at prestigious organizations such as NBC Universal and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.Brian's professional journey is as varied as it is enriching, allowing him to encounter a myriad of fascinating individuals and gather a collection of compelling stories. His debut novel, "oh, what a tangled web", marks his entrance into the world of storytelling. Following this story, he completed additional manuscripts featuring the same beloved characters. (Fog City Stories) Fans of the SFPD Homicide Inspectors, from his first book will be delighted to follow their further exploits in "Hiding in plain sight", "greed" and subsequent novels. His follow up book, "still waters run DEEP" is a departure from the friendly confines of San Francisco taking the reader to the much more remote areas of Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. The book follows the investigation of a violent militia group seeking to establish a new independent location in Montana. There are new investigators and a new story. In his latest book, THE CREW, Brian again wanders outside his normal comfort zone of crime/fiction to create a fictional account of a group of getting older "old friends" turned pirate hunters. It's a different kind of story.
