The Celtic Deception

Autor Andrew Varga
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 15 aug 2023 – vârsta până la 17 ani
Every second counts in the fight to save all time.

Dan Renfrew hates that he’s a time jumper—seventeen-year-olds should not be stuck with the responsibility of saving history.  But with no one else stepping up to stop Victor Stahl’s plot to take over the world, Dan and his time-jumping partner Sam have no choice but to jump back into history again. They land on the Celtic island of Anglesey in 60 CE, hoping to find answers on how to stop Victor. Their task isn’t easy. Everyone seems to be hiding something, from the druids who rule Anglesey to the Celts who take the time jumpers in.  With two Roman legions intent on wiping out everyone on the island drawing closer, time is running out for Dan and Sam.

Notă biografică

Andrew Varga is the author of The Jump in Time series of historical adventure novels, including The Last Saxon King, The Celtic Deception, The Mongol Ascension, The Spartan Sacrifice, and Ordeal at Orleans. His fiction draws upon a lifelong fascination with the people, cultures, and defining events of the past, weaving historical detail into compelling narratives of adventure and discovery.

Varga's passion for history began when his mother revealed their family's Viking ancestry. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, specializing in history and majoring in English. His continuing study of European history has taken him to castles, museums, battlefields, and other historic sites throughout Europe. An avid collector of medieval arms and armor, Varga brings both scholarly curiosity and a personal appreciation of material history to his writing.

Inspired by his children's enthusiasm for historical fiction and fantasy, Varga began creating stories that bring the distant past to life for contemporary readers. He lives in the greater Toronto area, where he continues to pursue his interests in history, literature, and music.
