The Ancestral Odyssey

Autor Duncan William Gill Editat de Alan Hamilton
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 13 feb 2023
The year is 1532. Seven Star Callers arise to compete for the hearts of their people and to defend Starillia. Alessa Coldan, disturbed by the disappearance of Isolde Beatrix, assembles the sisterhood and organises a venture to discover Isolde's fate. What lies in wait is a force none of which are prepared. A stranger, Deacon Garla, arrives in the forsaken town of Harloth. With Nobleman Tharas to guide him and loyal Three to carry him, he declares war on the criminal underworld. Newly appointed High Councillor Charity, Nielata Vou, is tasked with two impossible assignments: to investigate a suspicious death and to find diplomatic solutions between merciless factions. Tormented by the mad genius, Denzel Suade confronts Professor Atheriax, a decision that challenges his wisdom on the ancestral world. Glenn Straff, a rookie Firehand, journeys to the Hex to rescue a clutch of Gaia's prefects. Upon arrival, they discover a Silo, in the bowels of this rotting place, something grows. The Dark Rogues traverse blistering wastelands tracking an ancient evil. Draygo Dumear seeks out Chloe Augustien, a former ally who possesses vital knowledge on the ravenous Blood Angel, Saphuries. The Ancestral Odyssey: Rise of the Black Doves is the sequel to The Utopian Dream. Readers will return to Equis and visit a variety of remarkable and nightmarish lands. Rise unifies the genres of epic and horror, taking the series to a unique place. The Ancestral Odyssey is far from over, promising the reader a new cast to further explore and unravel the mystery at this Odyssey's core. Amidst this storm of an epic comes a myriad of plots, a deeper understanding of Glyph magic, the arrival of another race and the unveiling of a terrifying deity. Episode Two could very well be the darkest in the series, daring to challenge readers with controversial story arcs, uncomfortable ideas, and present situations some are not prepared for or expecting. The dream is over. A nightmare surfaces. Their rise is inevitable. Return to the Odyssey.

Notă biografică

My name is Duncan Gill. I was born in Hemel Hempstead, England, on July 16th 1987. I grew up on the coast of Pembrokeshire in Wales for around twenty years, spent a time living and working in Cardiff and Oxfordshire. I've travelled the majority of Europe and Thailand, lived and worked in Australia and will hopefully be moving to Japan in the future. I studied Art and Design followed by Graphic Design at Pembrokeshire College, later I furthered my education by enrolling in Graphic Communication at Glamorgan University. For the final year, I studied in Cardiff Atrium, the best place to nurture one's creative spark. All the while from around the age of sixteen, I've been writing and creating a fantasy book called The Ancestral Odyssey. https://taoscribe.wordpress.com/ I am attempting to do the impossible, to bring readers something they have never read before, to redefine the word epic by presenting a vast and unique world, by introducing a broad range of charismatic characters who steer the genre into a new place where anything can happen. Readers should prepare for a journey, they should get ready for something new because I feel that my first book is an experience like no other. Episode One is only just the beginning, what I have in store for you will hopefully transform your perception of what epic fantasy is.
