The second in a series of eight historical novels which trace the lives of the French-Canadian-Detroit Allard family beginning in France in the 1600's and proceeding through Quebec then to Detroit. Book two, The Hunter, follows the second generation in the New World including their involvement with Antoine Cadillac in the founding of Detroit, Michillimackinac and New Orleans.
