Welcome to the Arco: paradise in a cage.
In a future shaped by war, corporate power, and omnipotent AIs, humanity survives in enormous, self-contained megacities known as the arcologies-or "arcos." Bamboo, coconuts, and tropical drinks mask the tension bubbling beneath the surface. Where humans are confined, the animal in them tests the bars of the cage.
Tales from the Arco follows a cast of unforgettable characters navigating this strange world. PI Jack Denton hunts the missing, unravels murders, and navigates a web of corporate intrigue that culminates in a decision that could either save or doom them all. Elsewhere, desperate children, corrupt cops, and rogue executives risk everything in a city where sunlight is rare and trust is even rarer.
Equal parts noir, alternative history, and tikipunk satire, this collection of short stories, essays, and screenplays explores greed, survival, and the fragile dignity that makes humans truly human, even when the world around them has gone mad.
