Notă biografică
Karen Llagas is a poet, translator and lecturer in Tagalog/Filipino at the University of California, Berkeley. She is recipient of the prestigious Filamore Tabios Sr. Memorial Poetry Prize and a Hedgebrook Residency. Her first collection of poetry, Archipelago Dust, was published in 2010 and her poems have appeared in anthologies such as Troubling Borders, The Place That Inhabits Us, and Field of Mirrors among others. She earned her BA at the Ateneo de Manila in the Philippines and an MFA in Creative Writing at Warren Wilson College. She is the author of Basic Tagalog.
