Autism spectrum Disorders and bipolar disorders pose a huge challenge to the global healthcare community. These disorders been an enigma to the researchers and physicians and have shown a considerable increase in prevalence in the recent decades. The chances of comoridity of ASD and BP have been speculated only by a few studies, a well established research on the same is still lacking. Thus the study on the genetic commonalities and difference between the two disorders is considered to have a broader scope. This study aims to identify the pathways common to the two disorders and also locate the common genes that may contribute to the comorbidity of the disorders. Furthermore, we have made an honest attempt to understand the genes disrupted in the common pathways that play a vital role in the pathogenesis of the disorders. This piece of research focus will be highly beneficial to academicians, scientists and industrial innovators across the realm of applied biomedical research.
