Notă biografică
Marcel Proust (1871-1922) was a French novelist whose seven-volume In Search of Lost Time is among the supreme achievements of twentieth-century literature. Born in Auteuil, Paris, he devoted his later years almost entirely to the novel. 'Swann in Love', a self-contained section of Swann's Way, traces a consuming, jealous passion in fashionable Paris.
