The author pulls from his multi-faceted experiences as a health-care professional; chaplain, pastor, and life-long disciple of Jesus of Nazareth, offering timely and very useful information that reveal to the reader the intrinsic complexity of our human nature and our response to suffering. Dr. Thornton received his doctorate in ministry from Luther Rice University/Seminary, studying the impact of abuse upon the soul of the individual; and providing useful solutions to the problems of domestic violence to individuals and church communities.
