Since the earliest recorded history, poets have sought to express what it means to live, to love, to lose, and to find one's self. Poetry is often described by those who write it as a passion. It is an outlet used to reveal secrets, confess lies, and express our innermost emotions. The simple tools of pen and paper are the medium to the heart and soul.

Many of the fifty-seven pieces in this book were written with tear-filled eyes, some with a somber heart, and others with a painfully large smile. They reveal a mixture of emotions, events, and conversations, all in an effort to express life and the experiences found within.

"Soul Inspired" is the first book of poetry for author Joshua R. Dillaha. Poetry began as his hobby, but, after a few pieces, it quickly became his unquenchable infatuation. Out of the nearly two hundred pieces he has written, "Soul Inspired" is a collection of his favorites.
