Social Policy First Hand: An International Introduction to Participatory Social Welfare

Social policy is frequently constructed and implemented by people who have little if any experience of it from the other side. In recent years, however, there has been increased attention to the idea of increasing the involvement of patients, service users, and the public in the creation of social policy.  Social Policy First Hand is the first comprehensive international look at social policy from a participatory perspective; it presents a new service user–led social policy that addresses the current challenges in welfare provision.
