Smart Formula
Autor Jr. George Woodrowen Limba Engleză Paperback – 30 ian 2013
This book, Smart Formula: How Students Become Smart E=mc² was especially written for intermediate/secondary students. It is designed to transform the thinking of students and parents about the human capacity to learn. Simply stated, when students begin to think differently about what it takes to be "smart" they will change their behavior for the better. This book gives students a formula for how to "get smart", and it works.
Educators and parents have been searching in all the wrong places for what really improves students' academic achievement. The single area that perhaps impacts student learning the most has been the least researched and discussed; it is what students, parents, and educators think about the ability of students to learn rigorous scholarly content. Too many in all three groups believe in an outdated and disproven belief that intelligence is fi xed at birth.
With modern science and technology, we now know the brain has the capacity to grow and strengthen itself. It does this by growing dendrites. These are connections and pathways between the ten billion neurons humans possess. Neuroscientists have reported that by developing the brain in this way makes it work more efficiently. Thus we can literally grow a better brain-"get smart".
