Fini continues his quest to find the Roots of Tueri. Time is passing; if he can't find the roots and bring all the heirs of Tueri to them, the world of Shilar will slowly fade into nothing. His mentor, Sapienta has been struck ill. No cure is known. Fini is on his own. All looks bleak.
