A tragedy about Lucius Aelius Seianus, the favourite of the Roman Emperor Tiberius, first performed at court in 1603 and at the Globe Theatre in 1604. Jonson published the play in a revised version, replacing contributions by an unnamed co-author with his own words and accompanying the text with copious notes citing historical sources. These notes are not included in this reprint.
