This is how it is to love somebody. You tell them the truth. You lie a little. And sometimes you don't say anything at all...

Rocky and her family have been going to Cape Cod for their annual holiday for years, renting the same beloved but slightly rustic wooden house, its quirky old furniture and mismatched pots and pans greeted almost like old friends. They never want it to change. And Rocky doesn't want their lives to change, she wants to preserve this golden moment forever, when her children are now adult enough to be fun but young enough to still need her; when her parents are alive and well and still have the energy for a beach holiday. But of course change is inevitable - her son's girlfriend is secretly pregnant, there are so many things her parents haven't told her, and - most of all - there is a secret that Rocky has never told her husband. Beneath the surface, Rocky feels hot, angry, bewildered, lost as to what her life will become when the next moment comes and the seesaw of her life begins to tip towards change.
